Anchoring prohibited off the south coast of Lolland SW of Hyllekrog owing to the existence of  submarine cables at a distance of 1.5 - 2 miles bearing SE - SSE of approaching buoy - depth of water 10 m

Approach

Vessels to call 'Rødby Ferry Station' on Channel 74 for permission to enter port

Entrance

Rødbyhavn SW light buoy, equipped with a racon, is moored about 1 mile SW of the harbour entrance. 1,000 m long entrance channel dredged to 8.5 m and marked by light buoys and beacons leads NE into the outer harbour from which a short, 30 m wide and 5 m deep channel branches N to the commercial basin

Contact Alfr: Hovmand earliest, and latest 20 hours prior ETA for timely information to stevedores and port authorities

Pilot

No pilot station,
but pilot can be arranged by
Alfr: Hovmand if required.  At least 4 hours advance notice of ETA is necessary

Tides & currents

The tidal range is about 0.6 m, but the sea level may drop by up to 1.2 m with strong winds from SW, while gales from NE may raise it by up to 1.5 m
