- Gregers Alfred Rudolf Hovmand (1843-1899)
1872 - Established the firm Alfr: Hovmand with two sailing vessels, "Vega" and "Vesta" which plied between Copenhagen and Bandholm with general cargo.
1876 - Official appointment as shipbroker in Bandholm.
- Hans Christian Lund Hovmand (1870-1951)
1900 - Returned to Bandholm after 10 years in shipping companies in England and Riga, Estonia.
1918 - Disponent owners for the steamship company "Smaalandshavet" which ran ferries between Bandholm and the islands Askø, Fejø and Femø.
1926 - Appointed British Consul in Bandholm.
- Gregers Hovmand (b.1910-2001)
1935 - Returned to Bandholm after shipping experience in Hamburg, London and Newcastle.
1947 - Sole owner of the company.
1959 - Opened agency in Rødbyhavn.
1963 - The ferry company dissolved and the routes taken over by the Borough Council.
- Niels Alfred Hovmand
1977 - Returned to Bandholm after working in shipping companies in London, Hamburg and Copenhagen.
Established Hoban Marine Aps - timecharter operator worldwide.
1981 - Opened subsidiary office in Rødbyhavn.
1985 - Took over full control of Alfr: Hovmand from his father. |
